Keunggulan Liverpool sementara terpangkas
Di papan atas klasemen, Leicester City menang 3-0 atas Newcastle United dan Manchester City mengalahkan Everton 2-1 demi menghentikan bulan madu Carlo Ancelotti.
Kemenangan kedua tim itu untuk sementara memangkas keunggulan Liverpool yang bercokol di puncak. Leicester yang punya 45 poin kini “hanya” tertinggal 10 poin, diikuti Man City (44) yang ada di posisi ketiga.
Pun demikian, Liverpool masih berpeluang merestorasi keunggulan 13 poin ketika menjamu Sheffield United di Anfield pada Kamis setempat (Jumat dini hari WIB).
